YUKEN ASE、ASR Piston Pump
YUKEN ASE、ASR SERIES Variable Displacement Piston Pumps
YUKEN ASE and ASR series piston pumps are high-performance hydraulic components independently developed by YUKEN, integrating advanced design concepts and mature manufacturing technology. They are widely applied in various industrial fields such as injection molding machines, presses, construction machinery and machine tools, providing stable and efficient power support for hydraulic systems with their excellent performance and reliable quality.
1. ASE Series Piston Pumps
The ASE series is a combination of piston pump and AC servo motor, featuring an integrated compact design that effectively reduces the installation space and simplifies the system layout. It adopts advanced servo control technology, which not only achieves precise control of flow and pressure but also significantly improves energy efficiency, making it suitable for occasions requiring high responsiveness and energy saving.
1.1 Core Specifications
- Max. Operating Pressure: Up to 21 MPa (3,050 psi)
- Structural Type: Piston pump + AC servo motor combo (integrated pump motor)
- Electrical Performance: Equipped with EMS filter to reduce electrical noise, ensuring stable operation of the electrical system
- Hydraulic Oil Requirement: Recommend using clean petroleum-based hydraulic oil equivalent to ISO VG 32 or 46, with a suitable viscosity range of 20 to 400 mm²/s (refer to related specifications for details)
1.2 Operation & Maintenance Notes
- Before starting the unit, carefully check the fixation of the pump and piping to prevent component damage or hydraulic fluid leakage caused by loose connections.
- If any abnormal conditions (such as abnormal noise, fluid leakage, smoke, etc.) occur during operation, stop the machine immediately and take corresponding troubleshooting measures to avoid accidents.
- The drain pipe must be independently connected to the oil tank, and it is strictly prohibited to connect it with other return lines to prevent malfunction or failure of the pump unit.
- Do not operate the pump in reverse rotation for a long time, as this may cause pump seizure or component damage.
- Do not increase the pressure setting before the unit operates normally, so as to avoid pressure oscillation or abnormal noise.
2. ASR Series Piston Pumps
The ASR series piston pumps are variable displacement piston pumps available in single displacement and dual displacement types, designed to meet different flow demand scenarios in hydraulic systems. With reasonable structural design and strict quality control, the series has the advantages of stable operation, low noise and long service life, and can adapt to various harsh industrial environments.
2.1 Core Specifications
- Max. Operating Pressure: Up to 21 MPa (refer to specific model specifications for details)
- Displacement Type: Single displacement type and dual displacement type are available (e.g., ASR 2, ASR 3 are single displacement types; ASR 10 is dual displacement type)
- Hydraulic Oil Requirement: Clean petroleum-based oils equivalent to ISO VG 32 or 46 are recommended; the viscosity range should be 20 to 400 mm²/s, and the operating temperature range is 0 to 60 ℃.
- Suction Pressure: The permissible suction pressure at the inlet port is between -16.7 kPa and +50 kPa.
- Filtration Requirement: The suction port must be equipped with at least 100 μm (150 mesh) reservoir type filter, and the return line must be equipped with a line type filter of less than 10 μm to control oil contamination.
2.2 Installation & Operation Notes
- Transportation: Use the lifting rings on the pump for hoisting; do not use lifting cables at other positions to avoid damaging the pump body.
- Mounting: When installing the pump, the filling port should be placed upward; the height of the pump suction port must be lower than the oil level in the oil tank to prevent suction emptiness.
- Piping: For suction and discharge ports, if steel pipes are used, rubber hoses should be adopted when excessive piping load may occur to reduce noise; the drain piping length should be less than 1 m, and the pressure in the pump housing should be maintained at a nominal pressure of less than 0.1 MPa and a surge pressure of less than 0.5 MPa.
- Initial Start: Before the first start, fill the pump case with clean operating oil through the filling port; manually turn the pump 2-3 circles to confirm no jamming, then run it at low speed and no load (500~800 rpm) for 10 minutes, and gradually increase to the working speed.
- Air Bleeding: It is necessary to bleed air from the pump case and pipelines to avoid vibration; installing an air bleed valve in the outlet line is recommended for convenient air bleeding.
3. General Notes for Both Series
- Contamination Control: Strictly control the oil contamination degree within NAS Class 9 to prevent component wear, blockage and shortened service life caused by oil contamination.
- Temperature Control: The normal operating oil temperature should be 30~60 ℃ (maximum 80 ℃); if the temperature exceeds the limit, check the cooling system or oil contamination degree in time.
- Regular Maintenance: Check the differential pressure of the suction filter every 500 hours (replace it when ≥0.1 MPa); detect the piston pair clearance every 1000 hours (repair when the wear amount > 0.03 mm); replace the hydraulic oil regularly (mineral oil every 2000 hours, water-glycol oil every 1000 hours).
- Long-term Shutdown: Drain the residual oil in the pump, inject anti-rust oil and seal the inlet and outlet ports to prevent internal corrosion and contamination.
- Safety Warning: Do not operate beyond the rated pressure; the instantaneous pressure peak shall not exceed 1.1 times the rated pressure to avoid pump damage and safety accidents.
