1. Working Principle

CBHST-L external gear pump operates based on the fluid displacement principle through the precise meshing of two external spur gears with involute tooth profiles. When the pump is activated, the driving gear drives the driven gear to rotate in opposite directions. On the suction side, the disengagement of gear teeth creates a partial vacuum, which draws hydraulic fluid into the sealed working chambers formed by the gear teeth, pump body and end covers. As the gears continue to rotate, the trapped fluid is conveyed along the outer edge of the gears to the discharge side. Here, the re-engagement of the gear teeth reduces the volume of the working chambers, forcing the fluid to be discharged at high pressure. The meshing line between the two gears effectively separates the high-pressure and low-pressure chambers, preventing fluid backflow and ensuring smooth, low-pulsation fluid delivery.
