4. Installation & Operation Notes

  • Avoid dry rotation and overload during operation, prevent air inhalation and excessive suction vacuum, so as to avoid wear of vanes, rotors and oil distribution plates. Excessive suction vacuum will easily cause cavitation, which seriously affects the pump’s service life.
  • The pump has a specified rotation direction (clockwise when viewed from the shaft end as standard); reverse rotation is strictly prohibited, which will change the suction and discharge direction and damage internal components.   • During installation, the oil distribution plate and stator must be correctly positioned with positioning pins; the vane, rotor and oil distribution plate shall not be installed in reverse. When the pump is used at a speed below 1000 r/min (the maximum speed limit of the 184 displacement pump), the suction port should be installed upward to facilitate oil suction and reduce cavitation risk.
  • When starting the pump initially or after long-term shutdown, an air release valve should be installed on the discharge side to release air; it is recommended to perform intermittent operation under no-load conditions for 3~5 minutes to ensure sufficient lubrication of all internal components.
  • Pipe flange kits are not included with the pump; please select the appropriate flange kit according to the connection type (threaded, socket welding or butt welding) when ordering. The pipeline connection should be firm to avoid oil leakage and pressure loss.
