Danfoss Axial Piston Pump Product Catalog
Following the merger of Sauer and Danfoss, the original Sauer-Danfoss hydraulic product line now belongs to Danfoss Power Solutions. It is divided into two main categories: closed-circuit (hydrostatic transmission) variable axial piston pumps and open-circuit variable axial piston pumps. All are swash-plate type variable axial piston pumps, widely used in mobile hydraulic applications such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery, road equipment and concrete mixers.

I. Closed-Circuit Axial Piston Pumps (Closed Circuit, Hydrostatic Drive, with built-in charge pump)

1. Series 90 (Classic flagship, legacy Sauer product)

Displacement options: 030, 042, 055, 075, 100, 130, 180, 250 cc/rev Model example: 90R075, 90L100 (R = clockwise rotation; L = counter-clockwise rotation)
  • Features: Mature high power density design; mechanical, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic controls available; compatible with PLUS+1® electronic control; tandem pump configuration supported. Commonly used in road rollers, harvesters, pavers and travel drives.
  • Max working pressure: approx. 420 bar

2. T90 Series (Upgraded successor of Series 90)

Displacement: 055, 075, 100 cc/rev
  • Applications: Concrete mixer drum drives, agricultural machinery, road roller hydrostatic transmission. Supports PLUS+1® electronic control, compact and lightweight structure.

3. H1P Series (New generation closed-circuit pump, replacing some Series 90 models)

Displacement: 045/053, 060/068, 069/078, 089/100, 115/130, 147/165, 180, 210, 250, 280 cc/rev; H1T version available for tandem pump assemblies
  • Features: Higher efficiency, low noise, electro-hydraulic proportional control. Used in skid steer loaders, cold milling machines, aerial work platforms and forestry machinery. Max pressure up to 450 bar.

4. Series 40 (Legacy mid & small size closed-circuit pump)

Models: M25, M35, M44, M46; tandem mounting available Displacement range: 25~46 cc, max pressure 345 bar, direct displacement control. Widely present on existing equipment; gradually replaced by H1 series for new machines.

5. Series 70 (Small displacement compact closed-circuit pump, BDU/BDP)

Displacement: 10cc, 21cc; compact hydrostatic units for small machine travel drives, rarely selected for new projects.

II. Open-Circuit Axial Piston Pumps (Open Circuit, return oil directly to tank, no integrated charge pump)

1. Series 45 (Mainstream open-circuit pump for mobile hydraulics)

Displacement: 25, 30, 38, 45, 51, 60, 65, 74, 75, 90, 100, 130, 147 cc/rev Max pressure 310 bar; multiple control options: pressure compensation, load sensing, torque limiting, electro-hydraulic control. Main hydraulic pump for loaders and construction equipment.

2. D1P Series (High pressure large displacement open-circuit pump)

Max displacement up to 260cc; rated pressure 350bar, peak pressure 400bar. Designed for heavy-duty mobile machines, concrete pump trucks, large mining auxiliary equipment and heavy construction machinery main pumps.

3. PVM / PVMX (Former Vickers brand under Danfoss, open-circuit variable piston pump)

Models including PVM057, PVM063, PVMX028 etc.; suitable for both industrial and mobile applications. Pressure compensation and load sensing control options, used in industrial hydraulics and sanitation vehicles.

4. X20 Series (New generation open-circuit piston pump platform)

New design with low noise and fast response; load sensing and electronic control versions available for new machinery.
