This cartridge structure enables quick and easy replacement of worn parts without full disassembly of the pump, effectively reducing equipment downtime and maintenance costs. YUKEN PV2R2, PV2R3, and PV2R4 vane pumps are compatible with a variety of hydraulic fluids, including anti-wear petroleum base oils (for maximum 21 MPa pressure), R&O petroleum base oils, water-containing fluids (water-in-oil emulsions, water glycols), and phosphate ester-based synthetic fluids. When using phosphate ester fluids, special Viton seals are required, and the model number should be prefixed with “F” when ordering.

The weight of the pumps varies by model: approximately 12.5–15.0 kg for PV2R2, 16.0–18.5 kg for PV2R3, and 20.0–23.5 kg for PV2R4, depending on the mounting type and specific configuration.
To ensure reliable and long-term operation, it is crucial to comply with the suction conditions: the suction pressure should be in the range of -20 to +30 kPa (5.9 inches of mercury vacuum to +4.3 PSIG). The maximum allowable shaft runout must not exceed 0.1 mm TIR, and the angular misalignment must not exceed 0.2°. Regular maintenance and inspection of the cartridge components are also recommended to extend the pump’s service life.
