What series of Vickers low-noise vane pumps are there

Vickers (now part of Danfoss Power Solutions) offers low-noise vane pumps with fixed-displacement models as its core product line. These pumps reduce flow pulsation and operating noise through technologies such as intra-vane structure, optimized multi-vane design, and hydraulically balanced structure. The product portfolio also includes low-noise variable-displacement vane pumps. Below are its main low-noise series:

Fixed Displacement Vane Pumps (Core Low-Noise Product Line)

1. VMQ Series — Flagship High-Pressure Low-Noise Model

VMQ is defined by Vickers as the fixed-displacement vane pump with the lowest noise level in the industrial sector, developed for harsh working conditions in high-pressure industrial equipment and mobile machinery.
  • Core low-noise features: Adopts a 12-vane cartridge structure, which greatly reduces flow pulsation and operating noise. Equipped with a bimetallic vane structure to support cold start, avoiding abnormal noise and wear under low-temperature conditions.
  • Product configurations: Available in single pump, through-drive pump, and triple pump (such as VMQ125 (T) specifications). It is the 32nd generation optimized design, and the cartridge core supports on-site quick maintenance.
  • Performance range: Displacement covers 10 to 90 cm³/rev, rated speed is 1800 rpm, maximum continuous working pressure is 293 bar. It can achieve a service life of over 10 million pressure cycles under rated pressure.

2. VQ / VQH Series — Low-Noise Models for Mobile Applications

Developed for mobile machinery and mobile hydraulic scenarios, balancing high power density and low noise performance, suitable for space-constrained scenarios such as on-board equipment and engineering machinery.
  • Two sub-versions:
    • VQ Series: Standard medium-pressure version, with a maximum displacement of 193 cm³/rev and a maximum continuous working pressure of 210 bar. It is the mainstream low-noise option in the mobile hydraulic field.
    • VQH Series: High-pressure high-performance upgraded version, with a ductile iron housing. Its mounting interface is compatible with the VQ series, and it maintains the same low noise level while improving the pressure rating.
  • Configuration options: Supports single pump, through-drive pump, and double pump (such as 2520VQ, 3525VQ and other displacement combinations), flexibly adapting to multi-circuit systems.

3. V Series — Classic Industrial General-Purpose Low-Noise Model (Design No. 22)

It is the most representative mass-produced low-noise vane pump of Vickers, widely used in general industrial scenarios such as machine tools, injection molding machines, and hydraulic stations.
  • Low-noise principle: Adopts intra-vane structure with small flow pulsation amplitude, reducing system noise from the hydraulic principle level. The internal hydraulically balanced design eliminates radial loads on the shaft and bearings, further reducing mechanical noise and wear.
  • Basic specifications: Single pumps include four standard frame sizes: 20V, 25V, 35V, and 45V, with displacement ranging from 7 to 193 cm³/rev and continuous working pressure from 172 to 207 bar.
  • Derivative configurations: Supports double pump combinations (such as 2520V, 3520V, 4535V and other displacement combinations) and through-drive models (model with T suffix), which can realize single-shaft drive for multi-circuit oil supply.

4. V10/V20 Series — Compact Low-Noise Models with Small Displacement

Compact vane pumps for small flow, medium and low pressure scenarios, with small size and low noise as core advantages.
  • Low-noise features: Adopts square intra-vane mechanism, with stable operation and low inherent noise, and also has a high power-to-weight ratio.
  • Product specifications:
    • Single pump: V10 and V20 basic series, covering the small displacement range.
    • Double pump: V2010 (V20 + V10 displacement combination), V2020 (dual V20 displacement combination). A single input shaft drives two independent hydraulic circuits, greatly saving installation space.

Variable Displacement Vane Pumps (Low-Noise Energy-Saving Product Line)

VVS / VVP Series — Industrial Variable Low-Noise Models

Variable displacement vane pumps specially designed for medium and low pressure industrial systems, maintaining low noise operation while achieving pressure regulation and energy saving.
  • Two pressure classes:
    • VVS Series: Low-pressure class (maximum 100 bar), with mechanical pressure regulation, simple structure and low maintenance cost.
    • VVP Series: High-pressure class (maximum 160 bar), with hydraulic pressure regulation, fast response speed and strong pressure stability.
  • Performance and control: Displacement covers 6 to 100 cm³/rev, supports various control methods such as basic pressure regulation and load sensing, suitable for industrial scenarios that require both low noise and energy saving.
