1. Series Overview
The PV2R series is YUKEN Japan’s classic low-noise fixed-displacement single-stage vane pump, widely used in injection molding, die casting, forging machine tools, hydraulic power units and construction machinery.
- Rated pressure: 17.5 MPa, Peak pressure: 21 MPa
- Recommended fluid: ISO VG46 anti-wear hydraulic oil, fluid cleanliness NAS 8 or better
- Structural features: Special low-noise cam ring profile, low pressure pulsation; modular cartridge design, cartridge can be replaced directly for maintenance
- Mounting: F = flange mount / L = foot mount; Rotation: R = clockwise (viewed from shaft end, standard), L = counter-clockwise
- Port version: AA = standard port; REA = modified port version. Each series has different revision numbers.

2. Double Vane Pump Combination Selection (PV2R Double Pump Model Coding)
Double pump = front small series pump + rear large series pump. Two pumps with independent suction & delivery ports, two separate displacement outputs.

PV2R12 = PV2R1 + PV2R2; PV2R13=PV2R1+PV2R3; PV2R14=PV2R1+PV2R4; PV2R23=PV2R2+PV2R3; PV2R24=PV2R2+PV2R4; PV2R34=PV2R3+PV2R4
Available Combinations
- PV2R12: PV2R1 (small pump) + PV2R2 (large pump)
- PV2R13: PV2R1 (small pump) + PV2R3 (large pump)
- PV2R14: PV2R1 (small pump) + PV2R4 (large pump)
- PV2R23: PV2R2 (small pump) + PV2R3 (large pump)
- PV2R24: PV2R2 (small pump) + PV2R4 (large pump)
- PV2R34: PV2R3 (small pump) + PV2R4 (large pump)
✅Selection Tip: Double pumps cannot combine same series (PV2R11, PV2R22 not available). Must match smaller series + larger series.

4. General Model Coding Rules (PV2R Single Pump)
PV2R□ - Displacement - Mounting - Rotation - Port - Revision Number
- PV2R□: Series (1/2/3/4)
- Displacement: Nominal displacement code
- Mounting: F = flange mount; L = foot mount
- Rotation direction: R = clockwise (viewed from shaft end, standard); L = counter-clockwise
- Port: AA = standard port; REA = modified port
- Revision number:
- PV2R1: 43 (new version), 4222 (old version)
- PV2R2: 41 (new version), 40 (old version)
- PV2R3: 31 (new version), 30(old) /32 improved seal
- PV2R4: 30 (new version), 29(old version)
5. Selection Notes
- Speed: Max 1800 rpm for PV2R1; PV2R2/3/4 recommended ≤1800 rpm. Large displacement pumps are not recommended for long-term high-speed operation to avoid overheating & excessive noise.
- Suction Requirements: The larger displacement, higher requirement for suction pipeline. For PV2R3, PV2R4, suction pipe must be enlarged, pipeline kept short with fewer elbows to prevent cavitation.
- Rotation Confirmation: Confirm motor rotation before order. L counter-clockwise version is custom made with longer lead time.
- Oil Cleanliness: Vane pumps are sensitive to contamination. Suction filter + pressure line filter are recommended; oil change periodically.
- Replacement Note: Original YUKEN and domestic substitutes available in market. When replacing, check flange, shaft diameter, port position and displacement.
- Pressure Usage: Continuous working pressure recommended ≤17.5 MPa; 21 MPa only for short peak pressure, not allowed for continuous operation.
